TRISULMIX® LIQUID
TRISULMIX® LIQUID is a broad-spectrum antibiotic used for the treatment and prevention of bacterial diseases sensitive to trimethoprim and sulfadimethoxine in poultry and rabbits. The solution is given orally. It also works on the treatment and prevention of respiratory and gastrointestinal infections in poultry and rabbits.
Contraindications for use:
Do not use if you have a history of allergy to trimethoprim or sulfonamides.
Handle this product with recommended precautions to avoid exposure
Do not use it if there is severe renal or hepatic impairment.

How to use or dosing:
It is given orally, diluted in drinking water.
Dosage:
Rabbit: 18.68 to 37.36 mg sulfadimethoxine and 4 to 8 mg trimethoprim per kilogram of body weight per day (i.e., 1 to 2 mL of solution per 10 kg of body weight per day) for 5 consecutive days.
Poultry: 18.68 to 37.36 mg sulfadimethoxine and 4 to 8 mg trimethoprim per kg of body weight per day (i.e. 1 to 2 ml of solution per 10 kg of body weight per day) for 5 consecutive days.
Precautions and warnings:
Water supplemented with medication should be the only water source during treatment.
The consumption of therapeutic water depends on the physiological and clinical condition of the animals.
Supplementary water should be renewed every 12 hours in case of daily 24-hour administration.
The water distribution system must be cleaned adequately after the completion of the treatment period.
Withdrawal times:
Meat:
Poultry: 6 days.
Rabbits: 8 days.
Eggs: Do not use in laying poultry producing table eggs (4 weeks before laying and during laying).
